Spanish Games News Roundup

GameSpain News Roundup: November 17-21, 2025

Hello everyone!

We’re pleased to resume activity on the GameSpain blog, the initiative dedicated to sharing news about the Spanish video game industry. And we’re doing so during a special week, because one of the biggest releases of the year has just arrived. But it wasn’t the only one! Below, we review the most notable games that have hit stores since last Monday.

Tuesday 18. Max Stone: The Secret of the Great Pyramid is a game originally released for the ZX Spectrum through Microhobby magazine, and its creator has now recovered, polished, and uploaded it to itch.io so a new generation can discover it. Juan Leal, its creator, says the sequel — also released back in the eighties — will be landing on itch soon.

Wednesday 19. A date marked in red for the launch of the sequel to Moonlighter, the indie hit from Digital Sun that became one of Spain’s standout games of the late 2010s. In Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault we reunite with Will, who must once again balance the life of a shopkeeper with that of an adventurer: by day he manages his store, selecting what to sell and how to decorate it; by night he ventures into dangerous procedurally generated dungeons to obtain valuable items. The biggest novelty: the game has moved from 2D pixel art to glorious 3D.

Thursday 20. A double feature today. Speed Rivals is a game designed for Scalextric lovers: create your own tracks and send your cars racing through them while dodging all kinds of obstacles, loops, and traps. Meanwhile, Tadeo Jones: The Legacy of the Western Sun is a free DLC for Tadeo Jones: The Emerald Tablet that takes us on an adventure through the Canary Islands, with nine new levels set on islands such as Lanzarote, Tenerife, and La Palma. Gameplay combines platforming, symbolic puzzles, and exploration, as players collect cultural items — like petroglyphs and traditional symbols — that highlight the rich heritage of the Canary Islands.

Friday 21. A day for intense thrills with Terrifier: The ARTcade Game, from Basque studio Relevo. Making use of the Terrifier license, it delivers an old-school beat ’em up with pixelated visuals and a strong eighties vibe, in which players control Art the Clown as they move through disturbing environments in co-op and competitive modes for up to four players. All of that without abandoning the gore-filled atmosphere of the film saga.
