Games From Spain News Recap 5-12 July, 2024

Hello, and welcome back to a new issue of our Spanish video games industry recap!

It’s early Summer here in Spain and (some) of our studios are getting ready for Gamescom. It may be a slow week but we still have a couple of new, and interesting, releases on Steam. Let’s check them!

Games released this week

Songs of Steel: Hispania, is the new game by the young studio Meteorbyte Studios, which also released Woodpunk back in 2018. Songs of Steel: Hispania, lets players relive the conflict between the mighty Roman Republic and the brave Celtiberian people of Numantia. The game released yesterday, July 11, on Steam.

The game lets players meet great figures of the Numantia War such as the great Roman general Publius Cornelius Scipio and the fierce Celtiberian warriors Rhetogenes, Megara, Ambo, and Leuco, who played a fundamental role in a turbulent era of conquests and wars. His legacy and decisions will accompany them as they enter a world full of challenges and change.

Butanooo Simulator! is one of those weird gems you can find from time to time on Steam. Developed by Pigeon-G, the game puts you in a truck, delivering butane. You will have to drive the delivery van, pump gas and deliver fast with the forklift. Don’t worry, you won’t be alone as you will have a helper for miscellaneous tasks. The game was released on Steam on July 8.

Upcoming releases

Super Woden GP 2 was released last November on Steam, gathering very positive reviews so far. This s a love letter to the world of motor sports, offering a unique experience where Arcade-style isometric racing meets unrivalled campaign depth and a huge variety of vehicles to buy, sell and unlock.

Good news for console owners, as the studio has recently confirmed that the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch ports will be released on July 24!

And so we reach the end of today’s update. Remember to subscribe to our newsletter to receive our monthly recaps and keep in touch with us via social media. We’re at your disposal.

See you next week!
