Games From Spain News Recap: June 21 – 28, 2024

Read the latest news on the Spanish games industry on Games From Spain: updates from 21 to 28 June, 2024

Hi there, visitor:

Summer has officially started, although for us it’s the Steam sale and not the solstice that’s the big event that opens the season. Gamers, we live on a different level. The hunt for discounts begins, which means that there are a ton of incredible Spanish games waiting to join your game libraries in exchange for a ridiculous price. You’d do well to take a look at the socials of your favourite studio before July 11th 😉

There’s one more thing before we continue with the news — there will be a delay in the June newsletter. It will be released next Monday, just to feature an exclusive analysis of the 2022 Video Games Industry Insight Report. This paper explores the latest insights on Europe’s video game sector and its upcoming trends. Remember to sign up this weekend!

Last Tuesday, MIXER Malaga brought together 17 game studios from all over Spain to share some lessons on business development and internationalization. These activities were held by successful professionals from the local games industry, such as Mauricio García (The Game Kitchen) and Ana Molina (Odders Lab). Also, the teams were invited to pitch their ideas in order to receive feedback from these experts. MIXER Malaga is an initiative led by ICEX, through the Games From Spain project, the Ministry of Economy and the Malaga City Council in collaboration with the main developer associations in Spain.
