We’re back to bring you the latest information about the Spanish video game industry and its incredible protagonists. This time, we mix some new releases with active Kickstarter campaigns and interesting news about the long-awaited GOTY award ceremonies. It’s a well-balanced menu, don’t you think?
Without further ado, let’s delve into these wonderful news.
Excitement fills the air as two of gaming’s biggest awards galas approach. The first one is, of course, Geoff Keighley’s. And the second one is the Indie Game Awards ceremony produced by Six One Indie and IGN. Both are held in December and seek to recognize the work of the studios through different categories related to the technical aspects of development or the most popular game genres. We’re delighted to share that Spain has a strong presence this year at both events. Find the most important nominations for our country in the list below:

Starting yesterday, Madrid hosts the video game festival Guerrilla Games Festival, where professionals from around the world offer educational talks and various workshops aimed at members of the video games industry. This year, the fair has representation from the East Asian market – attendees will meet 2P Games’ Business Development Manager Steven Zeng and Gamera Game’s PR Manager Mikhail Campos.
They’ll also meet Harry Krueger, former coder and game director at the award-winning studio Housemarque (Returnal). Last but not least, Mohammed Bakir (Threads of Time, Friends vs Friends, The Longest Road on Earth) will discuss the present and future of HD-2D art style.

The base building and strategy game inspired by the Roman conquest of Cantabria arrives on Steam after being 125% funded on Kickstarter. Grab your Gladii and prepare to face a tribe of brave Iberians that will give their everything to erase the Empire from their sacred land. Found your military camp, train your legion, grow as a soldier and fight bravely to subjugate your enemies.
Super Rolling Heroes Deluxe (Steam) | Solid Neon Games
Destroy, bounce, explode! Roll downhill in this cute 3D platformer all about maintaining momentum, pulling down every object, avoiding deadly obstacles, and collecting some nice shiny gems too. Play normally for a relaxed experience or push your skills to the limit in hard mode.
How would you act if you were trapped in a desolate subway complex knowing you would soon die? The Time I Have Left is the story of Aline, a young woman who will do everything in her hand to find a cure for her strange illness. Learning more about her prison, Colony 7, will be key to achieve a happy ending.
In this time-driven narrative RPG, players will have to find a way to escape against the clock. The time they spend with Aline in each level, finding clues or fighting enemies in turn-based combats, will influence the final outcome. Preserve your willpower and uncover the hidden truth behind Colony 7 and the Miasma.
Ground Game Atelier recently released a trailer, along with a new demo and the announcement of the project’s Kickstarter campaign. The Barcelona-based indie studio aims to raise 50,000€ to develop the game, which has no approximate release date yet. You can support them before December 21, don’t miss it if you enjoyed classic survival RPGs in the style of Parasite Eve and Koudelka!
Celery Emblem (Baobabs Mausoleum, Tamarindo’s Freaking Dinner) faces the final hours of Fear Fa 98’s Kickstarter campaign. This comical mix of survival horror and soccer game invites players to use their enemies’ heads as the ball and win the match by any means necessary – stab your way to the goal, summon demons to distract the rivals and shoot the keeper to ensure your victory.
Play against the computer, or compete in sinister arcade online leagues with your friends. Fear Fa 98 is planned for release on Steam and consoles.
