Greetings, regulars and visitors!
One more week, we bring you the latest information about the Spanish video game industry and its protagonists. This week’s game releases are the kind you’d want to play on a typical cold day at home. So grab a drink, get comfortable and prepare your wallet, because we are going to give you some plan ideas for the weekend — snacking included!
Neon Blood (Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch) | ChaoticBrain Studios, Meridiem Games
Close your eyes and imagine the following scene…. It’s a cold and rainy day. You enter a dark back street with your hands stuffed in the pockets of your raincoat. Even so, you still can’t get warm. But that discomfort sharpens your detective instincts — it’s not so bad. You sigh and, as you walk forward, you activate your cyber eye implants to scan the whole place. And… there he is. Your source is waiting behind a garbage trunk. Hurry and ask your questions, dangerous people hate snitches.
That’s the mood for playing Neon Blood, the cyberpunk investigation adventure by ChaoticBrain Studios. The game will take you to the dazzling city of Viridis in the year 2053, where you will investigate the threat of a terrorist group with detective Axel McCoin. In its 3.5 hours of gameplay, Neon Blood mixes the classic drama of noir cinema with a beautiful pixel art and intense turn-based combats. It’s without a doubt, a great choice for a Saturday night. Mix it with your favourite whisky or bourbon for a complete experience!
Sol (Steam) | Nebuiloid Team
Can you imagine a life without the sun and its night-day cycle? That is the world in which Pablo and his friends live. An eternal night has settled on Earth for unknown reasons and survival has become more difficult than ever. The threat of a great freeze looms over humanity. And yet, people still worry about having a job and paying the rent.
Sol presents this post-apocalyptic story in a visual novel format, where players will explore the internal conflicts of each character and try to improve Pablo’s relationship with the people around him. The game has been released entirely in Catalan, and we hope it will soon come to Steam in other languages so that more people can enjoy it.
It goes great with hot beverages such as coffee or hot chocolate!
Summa Expeditionis (Steam) | Elendow
During an expedition to collect toxic waste from the seabed, your submarine suffers a technical failure. Your only tool to move underwater and keep the environment clean is the grappling hook. Use it wisely to fulfill your mission in this cute arcade platformer!
Point & Pixel Adventures, developer of The Castle and The Legend of Skye, just presented his upcoming game Mesektet. The game is now on Steam and players can take a first look at its gorgeous art, though its release date hasn’t been revealed yet.
The recent discovery of an archaeological site in southeastern Turkey has piqued the Vatican’s interest. Elizabeth, a young member of the Pontifical Commission for Sacred Archaeology, has traveled to Sanliurfa to investigate the ruins of Göbekli Tepe. If the Commission is correct, the site could be concealing humanity’s oldest site of worship. If this is the case, uncovering its secrets could reveal the origins of all civilization.
