Welcome back to our weekly news roundup!
It’s time for a biweekly compilation of everything that has happened in the Spanish video game industry, which has been a lot! In the absence of big business news, we’ll dive into the most relevant game releases and announcements of these weeks. Some highly anticipated titles have arrived on PC and video consoles between October 11 and today, so let’s review them.
Tormenture (Croxel Studios, Billete Cohete): PC (Steam)
Hands up if you’re a fellow creepypasta enjoyer! Tormenture is the ideal game for those who scoured the Internet forums investigating the Polybius conspiracy and the Lavender Village syndrome. In this game, you take the role of a child who gets trapped in a cursed game, facing puzzles that will test both your wits and your instincts. Explore a vast map in search of 4 relics and escape from this digital prison as you face all sorts of in-game dangers… and some others that seem to have escaped into the real world.
NEVA (Nomada Studio, Devolver Digital): PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch
From Nomada Studio, creators of Gris, here comes a heart-touching story on family bonds, love and commitment. In this beautiful platformer, players will step into the shoes of Alba, a young girl whose fate is tied to a wolf cub after a traumatic encounter with dark forces. As this darkness engulfs everything, Alba and her new friend, Neva, will embark on a journey against the clock to find a new home. The adventure will be full of new lessons for both of them.
Neva is now available digitally in all platforms, and a physical edition will make its way to Nintendo Switch and PS5 on March 14, 2025. Preorders are available now in both standard and deluxe editions.
eWorlds (GGTech Studios): PC
Get ready for an intergalactic adventure in eWorlds! After a crash, you’re stuck on a tropical island. Grab the Loops to unlock the Space HUB, which will open up new and exciting worlds. Solve puzzles, dodge traps, and uncover mysteries solo or with friends. Are you up for the legendary Golden Loop quest?
Stickin’ The Landing (Adrift Team, Entalto Publishing): PC, Nintendo Switch
Explore a beautiful universe made of pen and paper in this cute puzzle game, and guide a spaceship adrift to new destinations. Grab stickers from your notebook and take advantage of their gravitational properties to reach the goal unscathed. Who said that physics can only be learned from books?
Citadelum (Abylight Studios): PC
A strategy and city building simulator set in the legendary Ancient Rome. Build your own settlement, gather resources and do everything you need to become one of the most powerful cities in the empire. Strengthen your armies, engage in epic battles and expand to win the favor of the gods.Or confront them, if you dare.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants Unleashed (A Heartful Of Games, Outright Games): PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch
Several shipments of mutagenic ooze were scattered around New York City, contaminating the neighborhoods and giving birth to a new batch of dangerous mutants – they’re not evil, but some have lost their way. People stopped feeling safe in their own streets. Join Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo and Donatello to stop the Mewbies from causing trouble. Help the citizens, find these little rascals, deliver pizzas, and build your graffiti collection.
Barbie: Project Friendship (Xaloc Studios, Casual Brothers, Outright Games): PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch
The world’s most famous doll embarks on an adventure to save the Malibu Waves Community Center, a once thriving destination now abandoned and on the verge of being closed. Band together with the rest of Barbies and Kens to restore this historical building to its former glory!
Summa Expeditionis (Lobico Games, Megalevel)
Take your Gladi and your spear and prepare to put an end to a long conflict for the total conquest of Hispania. As a soldier of Rome, you will travel to the north of this territory and face the brave Celts of Cantabria and Asturias. But victory won’t be easy or quick. In these dangerous lands, you’ll have to help develop a proper military camp, protect it against potential attackers and train as much as you can to lead the empire to victory. Tactics, strategy, and logistics are all crucial if you want to defeat the barbarians for the glory of Rome.
Currently, Summa Expeditionis has raised €3,486 of its €5,000 goal. The Kickstarter campaign ends in 21 days, there is still time to do your bit!
