Game announcements & News

What if hell was your eternal workplace? What a pain in the ass. That’s what the protagonist of Hell of an Office (43 Studios, Joystick Ventures) probably thought when he first joined HellO, the largest office supply company in the underworld. This 3D platform game invites you to survive your first day and get along with your new colleagues under the watchful eye of Mr. Stapley, the boss.

But you don’t plan to go through that forever! Run across a hundred levels with your trusty stapler looking for a way out, and be careful with the lava covering the ground. Otherwise, who knows what might happen to you if you don’t meet your daily goals…

The neo-noir adventure game Neon Blood (Chaotic Brain Studio, Meridiem Games) will arrive on Steam and consoles on November 26, 2024. It’s going to be cold out there, so get your trench coat ready because it’s time to hit the streets of Viridis with detective Axel McCoin.

There’s a conspiracy on the go and many lives at stake, sharpen your senses and don’t miss a single clue!

Altered Alma (2Awesome Studio, Critical Reflex) has been in the news a lot lately. And that’s because thanks to the success of their Kickstarter campaign, which ended yesterday with $250,000 raised, they have announced a collaboration DLC with Blasphemous, named Neon & Miracle. It’s not a surprise considering that The Game Kitchen’s game already tributes this colorful cyberpunk metroidvania through one of its decorative elements.

In this expansion, the Penitent will be waiting for Jack in one of the Challenge rooms. Everything shows that there will be an intense fight between the two protagonists, although later we will have to help him return to Cvstodia. And deal with some spiky obstacles along the way… Watch the presentation trailer below!

The survival horror Post Trauma (Red Soul Games, Raw Fury), originally scheduled for release on October 29, is delayed until 2025. In a recent post on social media and Steam, we’ve learned that the game is still in need of improvements to reach a marketable state. The note openly mentions fixing bugs and adjusting the difficulty curve, as well as making sure the console versions are ready at the same time as the PC version. We wish them the best of luck.

We love Spanish videogames and try to bring all the new releases to your attention, but sometimes we miss information among so many game launches. That’s why we always leave a few lines to remember those titles we missed along the way. Such is the case of Exographer, a metroidvania game published by Abylight Studios and developed by SciFun Games.

Exographer is a science fiction story set in a colorful and strange world. As an explorer stranded on an alien planet, you’ll find a way to escape while discovering the secrets of its ancient civilization. You’ll make use of the protagonist’s special camera to reveal hidden clues, and find new power ups to grow stronger against the dangerous creatures that menace your life. It feels like the perfect game for a couch day, so we hope they release a Steam Deck patch sooner or later!

Transmedia

It’s not strictly game related, but we know how much you love expanded universes and transmedia storytelling, so here’s some news that will make Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood fans’ day — the DIY tarot card set is out now for purchase!

This is a fully customizable deck that includes the backgrounds and arcana seen in the game. The arcana can be stuck in different ways on each of the backgrounds, to adapt each card to the owner’s taste. Each pack is priced at $18 and stock is limited, get yours on Devolver Digital’s merch store.

And that’s all for today, folks! Remember to subscribe to our mailing list to receive our monthly recaps. Also, keep in touch with us via social media – you’ll find us on Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube.
