Spanish Games News Roundup

GameSpain News Roundup: December 8-12, 2025

Hello, everyone!

Christmas is approaching and Spanish studios continue releasing games. This week we have four launches (a new release, two console versions, and a physical collector’s edition), as well as one of the major professional events in our country, the Bilbao International Games Conference.

Tuesday 9. Fans of point & click adventures are in luck. Scholar Adventure: Mistery of Silence, an adventure set in a silent abbey, follows a young writer searching for inspiration for his next novel, who soon becomes entangled in a terrible secret that should never have come to light. The game, developed by Ayose Trujillo & Making Enemies and published by Devilish Games, is available on PC.

Thursday 11. Two releases on this day. Stars in the Trash, from Valhalla Cats, a 2D animated game that blends action, exploration, and puzzles, arrives on Nintendo Switch after having launched on PC a year ago. Control Moka, a pampered cat who decides to run away in search of adventure. Explore, make friends, fight, and escape from the dogcatcher.

PlayStation 5 users can get their hands on Anima: Gate & Memories I & II Remaster, from Anima Project Studio, the action RPG that brings together two intertwined stories (Gate of Memories and The Nameless Chronicles) about destiny, darkness, and duality.

Friday 12. A new edition of the Bilbao International Games Conference kicks off today in the Basque capital. The event has established itself as a meeting point for the Spanish independent industry and features speakers from across the continent, including this year’s highlights: Pawel Miechowski from 11Bit and Pietro Righi from Santa Ragione.

Also, this Friday sees the release of the collector’s edition of WildSphere’s Oxide Room 208 for PlayStation 5, the sequel to the horror game in which eight people trapped in an old laboratory are caught up in murky circumstances as they try to survive their final moments in this frantic, action, and terror-filled body horror experience. The physical edition includes a collector’s box, a redeem code for the original game, Oxide Room 104, for PS5, an art book, and a diorama.
