Welcome back, regulars and visitors!
We hope this month is bringing you lots of happiness and amazing moments, as well as success on the romantic side… because it’s the month of love for a reason! However, we’d hate to overwhelm you. Whether you found a player two (even a player three!) or not, remember this is a hobby you can enjoy in many ways. There are all kinds of cooperative experiences, but also incredible single-player adventures that will offer you hours and hours of fun. This time we bring you the releases of the last three weeks, mixing the best of both worlds.
Take note, you’re going to have a great time this weekend!
First, allow us to share with you the amazing content we released this month!
This time, we dedicated our Success Case to the brilliant team of Fictiorama Studios, developers of Do Not Feed The Monkeys and The Fabulous Fear Machine. The Oliván brothers always made use of dystopia as an excuse to explore the dark side of the world we live in, always giving players the chance to defy the statu quo with the power of resistance. Their games are a must if you enjoyed like Papers, Please and Beholder.
Also, we interviewed Laura Ripoll from Endflame! It was a quite interesting conversation on how they managed to convey their love for Japanese culture in a humble but terryfing horror experience like Ikai. Also, they learned some development lessons to apply on Instants — surprisingly, it’s way different to their first game. Watch the full video below, or save it for later.
Guadalindie, the video games fest taking place in Malaga this May, keeps blowing everyone’s minds with new international speakers.
In addition to Mark Brown, creator of Game Maker’s Toolkit, this event will gather other renowned professionals such as Jan Willem and Kitty Calis (Nuclear Throne, Horizon: Zero Dawn, Minit), Sam Barlow (Her Story, Telling Lies), Keita Takahashi (Katamari, Wattam), Victoria Tran (Innersloth) and Arnaud de Bock (Reigns, Card Shark, Crush House). Also, as their latest surprise, Guadalindie will count on Kai Moore and Johanna Kasurinen, creators of Mouthwashing, one of the hottest games of 2024. In addition to this, several funding organizations and publishers, like Wings, Raw Fury and Critical Reflex, have confirmed their assistance. It’s going to be a wild edition!
Professional and weekend tickets are now on sale.
A game you can read, or a book you can play? The masterminds behind Unmemory and Pinneapple: A Bittersweet Revenge are back with a new text-driven narrative adventure named Your House. It’s coming to Steam (PC) and mobile platforms (iOS, Android) on March 27, 2025! Now you can play its first-ever demo thanks to the Steam Next Fest.
Wild Rumble (Mean Mink)
The perfect title for a party game night with friends, especially if you’re soccer enthusiasts who loved the Inazuma Eleven series. Yeah, don’t expect an average football match! Score goals through a dangerous arena where the players develop devastating skills to crush their rivals. Master these abilities, choose the best upgrades and lead your team to victory.
Burgie’s Cozy Kitchen (HeyNau), Early Access
No matter what you’re doing on your PC, you can play Burgie’s Cozy Kitchen! Place this cozy idle game on any corner of your desktop and wait for customers to ask for their meals, or play it actively. The game has different modes depending on how much time you’re willing to spend on it. It even has a Twitch integration for viewers to become customers and ask for wild orders through a simple chat command. It sounds like the perfect recipe for chaos!
Glusiverse (Trusiga), Early Access
This humble tribute to 8-bit games invites you to join a hero’s journey to save the life of his master. The old Glusei has been poisoned, but there must be something Glusi-Glusi can do! Join Glus as he travels across 8 stages in search of the recipe for an antidote and the ingredients he needs to create it.
The Silent Kingdom (Lucky Cat), Early Access
How much of yourself would you sacrifice to save your most beloved ones? That’s a question that Princess Erinys must answer in The Silent Kingdom, a story-driven romance RPG developed where player’s choices set the narrative. Her kingdom is about to be engulfed by a sorrowful curse, so she may have to sacrifice everything (and even defy the Goddess herself) to achieve a happy ending. Will you walk this path of thorns with Erinys?
Die in the Dungeon (ATICO, HypeTrain Digital, INSTICT3), Early Access
Last but not least, a mysterious dungeon awaits you in this turn-based roguelike with deck-building combat. The thing is that here, you don’t use cards… but dice! Craft your deck, find the most powerful combinations and boost its effectiveness to defeat everyone that gets in your way. The monsters are extremely cute, but don’t let that make you let your guard down!
