We’re already in the fourth week of January. How fast is that?! The Spanish video game scene is off to a strong start, with plenty of exciting releases hitting the market. And that’s just the beginning, there are many talented developers cooking up projects you’ll want to keep on your radar.

 

 

But for now, let’s dive into what landed this past week!

 

 

Tuesday 20. The release of Loopweavers: Dimensional Alliances, developed by the solo dev Alejandro Rodríguez Fernández.
“Loopweavers: Dimensional Alliances” is a competitive multiplayer strategy game where two players—known as Quantum Weavers—clash in tactical skirmishes across the Astralis System. Each turn, they collapse probability waves to manifest entangled creatures from the 5th Dimension onto the battlefield.

 

 

 

Tuesday 20. Blightstone released in Early Access. Developed by Unfinished Pixel, a studio from Barcelona. Blightstone is a challenging, turn-based strategy with a roguelike edge. Lead a team of adventurers to destroy the Blightstone and free the world from corruption. Use free movement, dynamic environments and collectable skills to save the crystal, and save the world.

 

 

 

Wednesday 21. Falling Stars… and other celestial objects released on Steam. A game developed by From The Moon. A studio from Madrid. Falling Stars is a simulation game where players design the automatic defense system of a city to protect it from falling celestial objects. It’s a mix between a tower defense and an automation game with physics.

 

 

 

Thursday 22. Citadelum by Abylight Barcelona released for Switch 2. Citadelum is a city builder set in legendary Ancient Rome. Build your own settlement, gather resources and evolve it into a magnificent city. Explore the world, trade and lead your mighty legions in epic tactical battles. Earn the favor of the Gods or challenge them, if you dare.
