The Spanish video games industry newsletter (Christmas Edition)

Hello, everybody!

Christmas is almost upon us and we are super excited to spend time with our families as well as having some spare time to play some new games, especially Spanish ones. These have been slow weeks for the Spanish industry, but let us summarize some of the most important news that broke these days.

First, we are glad to know that IO Interactive will hire 150 people in its Barcelona office to support the development of Project 007, the game based on the James Bond franchise. The game still has no release date, but we know for sure that the Barcelona studio will play a key role developing it.

If you want new releases, we have a couple of them. Nordic Ashes, by Noxfall Studios, is a Norse inspired action-roguelite enemy hell, where players will have to survive hordes of creatures, unlocking new weapons and abilities as they battle through different realms. It’s available on Steam Early Access.

And just today we have stumbled upon the Xbox One release of Tower Princess, by AweKteam, a charming 3D roguelite platformer about a normal day in the life of a knight. The game was originally released on Steam, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on September 8 and has now finally arrived to Microsoft consoles.

That’s it for this week! We hope all of you have an amazing time meeting your loved ones these days and don’t forget to follow us on social media!
