GameSpain News Roundup: May 25-29, 2026

Hello everyone!

May is coming to an end… which means Summer is just around the corner! And, with it, our GameSpain Summer Edition. We will air it on June 17 at our usual spot, the Best Indie Games channel on Youtube. And, until that date comes, here’s a list of this week’s new releases.

Monday 25.

The Dream of Jacob, from Tasiria, lets you travel as Jacob through the most transcendent astral dream ever told. Discover heaven and hell, overcoming unexpected challenges and fighting your inner demons. Will you reach the top of the ladder?

Wednesday 27.

Did you know that 007: First Light was developed at IO Interactive’s office in Barcelona? In this thrilling espionage action-adventure game you follow James Bond as a young, resourceful and sometimes reckless recruit in MI6’s training programme, and discover an origin story of the world’s most famous spy.

Thursday 28.

Orun, from DigiPen Europe-Bilbao, is a free game on Steam where you follow Orun through his journey to restore the guardian flame that once defended the city from creatures that now have devastated the land.

After releasing on Steam in 2023, One Military Camp from Abilight Studios, now has a Nintendo Switch 2 port. Build your own military camp, manage the economy, recruit the best candidates and train them to become elite specialists. Send them on missions across the land to end the war once and for all!

Another port, this time for PlayStation 5. Forensic – M.E. Protocol, from k148 Studio, challenges you to solve 9 unique and independent cases full of plot twists. Use drones, robots, and chemical analysis to discover what really happened. Here, you don’t shoot the bad guys; you catch them with science.

Friday 29.

Firenut Games releases a physical PlayStation 5 port of Portrait of a Torn. As a young soldier returning to an eerily deserted home, you’ll explore enigmatic rooms and uncover a haunting, tragic story. Experience an atmospheric journey filled with suspense, mysterious encounters, and a deep narrative.

Control, I’m Not Coming Back, from Desborde Games, is a short and emotional narrative game about a lost astronaut searching for a reason to keep going forward while facing the emptiness of space. Inspired by the Hopecore aesthetic, it’s a story about positivism, friendship and our human connection with Voyager 1.

And that’s all for today, folks! Remember to subscribe to our mailing list to receive our monthly recaps. Also, support us by sharing this post and tagging our profiles on X (@GameSpain_EN), and Linkedin (GameSpain). Help us spread the love for Spanish games!
