The weekly Spanish video games industry newsletter (September 30)

Hello, everybody!

Welcome to a new entry in our weekly newsletter. This week has been busy, as you may see: we have a few releases, Steam Deck announcements and even a release date for an anticipated game. Let’s go!

Let’s start with the fresh releases. Pendulo is one of the most ancient Spanish studios. Focused on adventures, they have been producing high quality titles from the early 90s, not bad! Their latest release Vertigo, launched on Steam late last year but has now arrived to consoles. In this title freely inspired by Alfred Hitchcock’s universe you will immerse yourself in a psychological thriller of a new kind, playing with the limits between reality and fantasy.

Vertigo is not the only release this week. Windfolk has made an appearance on Steam after being released for PlayStation a while back. This third person shooter adventure from Fractal Fall is set in the skies of an alien planet. And there’s one final release. Souldiers, from Retro Forge, now has physical editions both for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.

Next, good news for Steam Deck owners, as Call of the Sea has been verified for Valve’s portable device. To celebrate, Out of the Blue is holding a 45% discount until October 2, so you can grab this award-winning first-person adventure set in a remote island of the South Pacific.

And last, we will say goodbye with a release date. Super Mega Team announced this week that The Knight Witch comes to Steam and consoles on November 29. You can now wishlist this metroidvania adventure game with fast-paced, shoot ‘em up combat set in a beautifully hand-drawn world and check its release trailer below.

That’s all for this week! Remember to follow us on social media to stay updated on the latest news about Spanish video games!
